Before you book a mover

How much does a move in Dallas cost?
Local moves are quoted hourly, based on crew size, truck size and how long the job realistically takes — a studio apartment and a four-bedroom house are very different jobs. Long distance moves are quoted as a flat price based on weight and mileage. Either way you get the number in writing before you book, including travel time and materials.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Legend Movers is fully licensed and insured for moves in Texas. If your apartment building, high-rise or HOA needs a certificate of insurance naming them, tell us at booking and we’ll send it directly to management before move day.
Do you charge for packing materials or stairs?
Anything chargeable appears on your written estimate. Blankets, shrink wrap and basic protection are included. Boxes, tape and specialty cartons are billed only if you ask us to supply them, and stair or long-carry charges — if they apply — are quoted up front, not added on moving day.
How far in advance should I book?
Two to three weeks is comfortable for most moves. The last weekend of the month, the first of the month and anything in June through August book out fastest in DFW. If you’re moving on short notice, still call — we hold slots for same-week jobs.
What payment methods do you take?
All standard payment methods are accepted. Payment is due once the move is complete and you’ve signed off on the walkthrough.
