Apartments, houses and everything in between — moved across town by a licensed, insured Dallas crew, at an hourly price you see in writing before the truck is booked.
What local moving means here
A local move is anything inside the metroplex — Uptown to Lakewood, an Oak Cliff duplex to a house in Garland, a Richardson townhome to an apartment in Plano. Most finish in a single day, and the crew that loads your truck is the crew that unloads it.
We price local moves hourly, which is the fairest way to do it when distances are short. What decides your total is how many movers and what size truck the job needs, so we ask real questions first: how many bedrooms, what’s oversized, stairs or elevator, and how far the truck can park from the door. Then you get a written estimate that includes travel time and materials.
The result is a move day where nothing is negotiated. Crew arrives in the window, floors and door frames get protected, furniture gets padded and wrapped, and you sign off after a walkthrough — not before.
Included in a local move
Nothing on this list is an upsell. It’s what a properly run local move looks like.
Moving blankets on every piece of furniture, shrink wrap over the blankets, mattress bags on beds and cartons for TVs and mirrors.
Floor runners through the walking path, door jamb padding on tight entries, and railing protection on stairwells before anything moves.
Beds, tables, cribs and shelving taken apart and rebuilt, appliances dollied properly, and heavy items carried by the right number of people.
Items tracked on and off the truck so boxes land in the right rooms and nothing gets left in a hallway or a stairwell.
Licensed and insured for Texas moves, with a certificate of insurance sent to your building or HOA whenever management requires one.
We check every room, closet and balcony with you, place furniture where you actually want it, and only then close the truck.
Pricing
Nobody can quote a real number without these four answers — which is why we ask for them before giving you one.
Bedrooms and total volume decide crew size and truck. A studio and a four-bedroom house are different jobs, not the same job at different speeds.
Ground floor, stairs or elevator, plus how far the truck can park from the door. A long carry across a complex adds real time.
Pianos, gun safes, pool tables, treadmills and oversized sectionals need extra hands and equipment. Tell us and it’s priced in, not sprung on you.
If your boxes are packed and stacked, the crew moves faster. If you want us to pack the kitchen and breakables, that time goes on the estimate.
Local moves we do most
Dallas moves a lot of people every month, and the jobs fall into a few familiar shapes.
Where we move locally
We run local moves throughout Dallas and the surrounding cities, seven days a week.
Local moving FAQs
A studio or one-bedroom apartment usually takes two to four hours with a two-mover crew. A two-bedroom typically runs four to six hours, and a three-bedroom house is often a full day with three or four movers. Stairs, long carries from the truck and heavy packing all add time, which is why we ask about access before quoting.
Travel time is shown on your written estimate up front rather than appearing as a surprise line at the end. You’ll know exactly how it’s calculated before you book.
Yes — we run moves seven days a week from 8AM to 8PM. Those are the busiest windows in DFW, though, so book two to three weeks ahead if you need a specific Saturday or the 30th and 31st.
Empty drawers in tall or older dressers, since the weight can damage the frame when it’s tilted through a doorway. Sturdy low dressers can usually travel with soft items like clothing still inside. Anything breakable, liquid or valuable should come out.
We can hold your belongings in short-term storage and redeliver when you get keys, all on one inventory list with one company. Let us know as early as you can so we can plan the truck and the storage window together.
