Our story
Started in 2024 because DFW deserved better movers
Legend Movers was founded in Dallas in 2024 by people who had spent years on trucks and had heard the same complaints on every job: the quote went up on move day, the crew showed up two hours late, nobody wrapped the dresser, and the company stopped answering the phone once the deposit cleared.
So we started a moving company that does the opposite. Everything chargeable goes on the estimate before you book. Crews are trained in-house and stay with your job from the first box to the last walkthrough. Phones are answered by someone who can actually change your booking, seven days a week from 8AM to 8PM.
Two-plus years later we’re moving families across the metroplex every week — one-bedroom apartments off Ross Avenue, growing families heading up the Tollway to Frisco and McKinney, and offices that need to be running again by Monday. Same crews, same promise, whatever the size of the job.
What we stand on
Four standards we don't negotiate
Every crew is held to these on every job, whether it’s a two-hour apartment move in Richardson or a full office relocation in Fort Worth.
Licensed and insured
Proper Texas licensing and active insurance on every move. Certificates of insurance are issued to buildings and HOAs at no charge whenever management asks for one.
No hidden fees
Travel time, materials, stairs, long carries, heavy items — if it can be charged, it's on your estimate before you agree to anything. The number doesn't move on move day.
Trained, vetted crews
Movers are background-checked and trained on our own equipment before they touch a customer's furniture. No rotating day labor, no strangers turning up in an unmarked truck.
Careful by default
Blankets, shrink wrap, mattress bags, floor runners and door jamb protection come out on every job — not just when you ask, and not just on the expensive furniture.
How we work
The details that decide whether a move goes well
Moving is mostly logistics. Get the small things right and the day is uneventful — which is exactly what you want it to be.
- We survey before we quote. Inventory, elevator or stairs, parking distance, tight turns and anything oversized — all of it changes the crew and truck we send.
- Right-sized crews. Sending two movers to a four-bedroom house saves nobody money once the clock runs long. We size the team to finish the job properly.
- Labeled inventory. Items are tracked on and off the truck, so nothing gets left behind in a hallway or delivered to the wrong room.
- Disassembly and reassembly included. Beds, tables, cribs and shelving come apart and go back together — hardware bagged and labeled per item.
- A real walkthrough at the end. We don't close the truck until you've checked every room and told us the furniture is where you want it.
